Dr. Michael Fesler is a specialist in orthodontics, and has received additional residency training to certify him in the art and science of tooth movement. He is dedicated to creating beautiful, straight smiles for children and adults of all ages.
Dr. Fesler grew up in Carrollton and graduated from Newman Smith High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University in Waco in 1996. He continued his studies at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. While at Baylor, he was elected to the Odontological Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Dr. Fesler graduated as class valedictorian in 2001, and won the Gold Medal Award for academic and clinical excellence as well as the Alpha Omega Honor Award. During dental school, he had the opportunity to work in the orthodontic department and treat some of his dental patients with braces. This solidified his desire to continue his studies after dental school by pursuing an orthodontics degree. Dr. Fesler completed specialty residency training in orthodontics at Baylor in 2003. His orthodontic credentials include a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree. He has been named a D Magazine Best in Orthodontics 8 times by his peers, including the last vote in 2022, as well as many “Best of” awards voted by the community.
Dr. Fesler enjoys all kinds of athletic activities and currently plays indoor soccer on a weekly basis and has the pleasure of coaching soccer for his younger kids. He and his wife Kimberly have three children, and are active members of Mercy Presbyterian Church in Dallas.
Dr. Michael Havel loves creating beautiful, custom smiles! He spent 11 years in higher education becoming an engineer, then a dentist, and finally an orthodontist. He can’t wait to use his many years of training to help create personalized, healthy smiles for children and adults alike.
Dr. Havel grew up in Winter Springs, Florida, and then attended the University of Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering. Thinking he would like to see what the north had to offer, he then attended the University of Michigan for dental school where he graduated in the top of his class and was invited to join the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After realizing very quickly that the south was where his heart was, he then moved to Texas where he completed his orthodontic residency training at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry and received a Master of Science in Oral Biology.
When not working on perfecting smiles in the office, Dr. Havel loves to hike, travel and spend time with his wife, Rachel, and their dog Benny. He recently accomplished his lifelong goal of seeing all 50 states and has seen 57 national parks! Whether it’s planning a hiking trip or perfecting smiles, he will make sure the job gets done right and you have a good time in the process.
